Another Cat Cartoon Animation
Very first animation test. This is done frame by frame. I havnt reached the chapter on symbols, I know it will get a lot easier. Anyway I made this with the 3ds in the beginning and used adobe flash afterwards.

Overkill Show featuring Symphony X NYC 2015
This show was amazing. But it all started with a curiosity. My friend Orgus grew up listening to Symphony X, said that is where he got the power. So we found out that Symphony X was opening for Overkill so we HAD to go. To boot, Nevermore was playing the line up was pretty good. Natas was not pleased. She’s another friend and from the get-go said “Fuck those two bands, I am going for Overkill”. So after a lot of convincing she finally accepted, though warned us “They better be good”.
We were a little late for Nevermore. It was on Terminal 5 in NYC and to get there is quite a walk. It took a while and you know we had to pregame before. When we got there, we noticed a lot of people just standing around. My friend Orgus dived right into the crowd. When they started to play Future Tense, the last song, no one pushed or shoved. It was almost like the people there were forced to go and had no idea who Nevermore was. In my opinion they were proper.
Symphony X played. Holy shit. A guy at the show said it best “Some bands shouldn’t play live at all”. I don’t see the problem. I enjoyed the instrumental, the crowd cheered when the lead guitarist took over the stage and then slowly creeped into the shadows. The vocalist is what I found most annoying from the whole experience. His wife or girlfriend was on the second floor and she looked like she was having a good time. Until the singer starts talking to her. Not like on the microphone or anything, while the guitarist was soloing. I don’t know why I got so offended by it but if you see people not really into it, you’re not doing any good by distracting the action from the rest of the band. Oh man I wish I had a camera because the geekiest mosh pit took place at the very end of the crowd.
Overkill was amazing. It’s amazing to see how the people project their energy to this band. It’s good to see that they never really changed their style. I am not saying that bands have to keep sounding the same, because Overkill doesn’t do that. But you hear the same soul. Like when you go out with a girl for the first time. Everything is cool in the beginning but towards the end the spark ends. Overkill is what happens when you have a girl and you might fight now and then but nothing separates you. It’s like made to be.
Natas scolded us, “Man I could’ve been smoking and drinking instead of wasting my time watching those two other bands”
I am a firm believer that if you buy a ticket to a show, you should see all the bands. Especially if they are legendary in nature. -
Playing Around with Some Animation
Just playing around with some animation. Hopefully I could start full length cartoons. I think “Another Cat Cartoon” is perfect for that. Their short and easy to set up.

Farewell Lemmy Helmister, Goodbye Motorhead
Many are wondering who is Lemmy? What is Motorhead? Well.. I am not going to embark on an expository background. With that said, they are a heavy influence in what we know today as punk, thrash and everything metal. These guys came out a year before punk was around, before The Ramones. But they are NOT metal or heavy metal by any means. Like Black Sabbath, they influence with their music and made possible to lay the groundwork for metal to even exist.
It is sad to see someone as great as Lemmy pass away but in hindsight I wish a lot of people would have survived to be as old as Lemmy, age 70. I would love to have seen Chuck Schuldiner (Death) or Dimebag Darrell (Pantera), or even Cliff Burton (Metallica) reach that old in their careers. But as the aforementioned members, Lemmy will always live in our memories as the best Rock n Roll band ever.
As you can hear, it sounds like they picked up where Hendrix left off. Play this shit loooudd!

Star Wars The Force Reboots (Editorial Impressions of the Movie)
Star Wars (The Force Awakens) was an awesome blockbuster, popcorn-eating, roller coaster ride film that won’t fail to entertain young or old. A series that expands across 30 years (maybe more), this movie will please those who have never seen the originals and prequels on the big screen. With that said,the biggest weakness is its story and how it’s told. This means I will be spoiling a lot of the story… But really, how can you spoil a story that has already been told? This movie feels more like Episode 4,5,6 put together.Why are there storm troopers? After all in part six, Return of the Jedi the empire falls. Emperor Palpatine was slaughtered and its despotic system abolished. Your thinking “Hey asshole, they are obviously going to explain it on the next one”. What? Why couldn’t it be on the beginning text crawl, or a soldier mentions it, Chewie explains it or at least a sketch. The entire movie I was wondering where they come from and it kept me from enjoying the movie. If it’s a sequel to the originals they have to explain who is our villain since it will set the stakes of the movie. It would’ve been a benefit to the story since a lot of the plot tries its best to spoil the truth about our main villain, Kylo Ren.
Oh man the main villain. To the credit of the movie it would’ve been impossible. How can you top the biggest bad asses in modern cinema, Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. You can’t. So what we got was Shnookie (the Space Jockey from the movie Alien/Prometheus) and Kylo Ren (the villain from grandma’s boy PJ). Kylo Ren costume design kinda mimics Darth Vader, with the helmet and everything. The problem is that he keeps talking and putting on the mask that really becomes distracting. Because the mystery was in knowing what he looked like. But in the torture room he removes it and I am like “Wooow he looks nothing like Han Solo.” I don’t know what I was expecting from Kylo Ren, but I feel the movie would’ve been better if he only took it off when Han Solo asked him to take it off so that we get to see his son through Han Solo’s eyes. That’s the biggest problem – the movie spoils the main twist. In the very beginning: “Oh Kylo Ren, but you were never like this, you came from the light side”. Or when Shnookie tells Kylo “Oh yes the droid is with your father, Han Solo”. It was bad enough he had to telegraph it to us but was it necessary to say the name? A little overkill if you ask me. People doesn’t say, “Hey Chris, I saw your father, Harold Cortes!” Real people don’t speak this way. It’s just the movie is insulting viewers, assuming people can’t think for themselves. Also a big thank you to the kid that was sitting behind me that just couldn’t hold the urge to announce the identity of Kylo Ren the second he appears on screen.
The climax of this movie would put you to sleep. Now why was a planet sized Death Star battle won with a handful of x-wings? There was this part where they have to hit a facility and the pilot say “Oh man we can’t destroy it, the armor is too strong” and the leader responds “Just keep hitting it”. Hahahah What?! Where are the Y-wings (bomber type space crafts), or B-wings for that matter (another type of bomber type spacecraft)! The entire movie was full of fan service and they couldn’t for their lives do a trench segment? I don’t know, it just felt so cheap. The death of Han Solo was so telegraphed. The light-saber fight at the end of the movie, it all just felt like fan service. At least on the prequels they did something new. This movie felt very familiar like I’ve seen all this before done better. I am surprised no one said it by now but if I wanted to see A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, I could just watch them. This movie doesn’t push forward the story but really re-tells it. It feels like they wanted to reboot the series. This feels like it should be called Star Wars Episode 3: A Hope Strikes Back of the Jedi.
I am really interested in seeing how they will make two movies without them becoming more like a Matrix reloaded-revolutions style. Like there being more plot and the third movie being the big space battle. They played it so safe with this movie I feel like it should’ve gotten a G rating. With that said these are just my thoughts. This movie feels like it has more nefarious intentions, created from the dark side. I kinda like the prequels better. Wow I never longed for Jar Jar Binks. I am looking forward to seeing how they will explain how they come across Lukes Skywalker’s blue light saber, a saber that was casted out of Cloud City when Luke lost his hand. How did R2D2 came back to life (I bet 100 bucks that it was Luke Skywalker or Yoda that did it) right after the Death Star Biggie size exploded. Who is Rey’s parents, some say Skywalker but how if Jedi’s cant fall in love – so how did he procreate?.. OOH I know, that silver stormtrooper was female, I bet any money that it was Skywalker’s Baby Mama that gave birth to both Fin and Reia!
You would probably love the movie. I hate it because I am a fan of the series and my expectations are very high. There were truly good parts to this movie though. It’s amazing to look at but I just feel the story should’ve been the main course. This was almost a fan fic. Wait a minute, of course it’s a fan fic! George Lucas had nothing to do with it. I guess the joke is on me after all.

King Diamond Abigail Concert NYC 2015
This show was amazing. The production and sound really came well together. There were parents with their kids on their shoulders and girls crowd surfing. Really sets the mood. King Diamond said something like, “Want to listen to some Merciful Fate? We’re playing this because I say so!”. Oh man, the crowd went nuts.
It was a pity to see soon after this show he got Laryngitis and had to stop the tour for a couple of shows. Hopefully he’s back to his ol’ screetchy evil self again!

Metal Man’s Misconception
This was the last band I discovered while I was attending Bryant HS, 13 years ago. I think. I was searching for Viking Metal and Waitain came up. I thought they were bad ass but never got around to it. Kinda what happened with Gamma Ray (man that’s gonna have to be a whole other comic). Anyway many years go by and like a year ago they were on TMZ, showering people with blood. I see upside down crosses, candles, goats and bones. A change of faith? Then it hit me, I am an idiot. When the Christians were spreading the faith to the Pagans north of European tribes, the deities themselves were demonized by the Christians (maybe Catholics? What do I know). So these tribes used to dress up like demons, make sacrifices , cover themselves in blood; just to scare the Christians away from Crom.
This is all speculation, obviously I am not a bad ass archaeologist.
